Strombocactus


It is a small, slow-growing genus of cacti, native to central and north-east Mexico. It's known for its distinctive appearance and unique features. Strombocactus disciformis is the only species of the genus. It is rare and endangered. The species is listed in Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, meaning commercial international trade is prohibited and non-commercial international trade is regulated.
